2. Registration and confirmation

Registration through the website is an expression of interest and does not automatically constitute a confirmed booking. Conversation & Co aims to respond within two business days.

Once a group has been formed, you will receive the course details and payment instructions. Your booking is confirmed when you have accepted the offer and your payment has been received, unless agreed otherwise in writing.

3. Courses

Conversation & Co offers the following courses:

  • Dutch Sprint: 12 live online group lessons of 45 minutes each.

  • Dutch Sprint Plus: 12 live online group lessons of 45 minutes each, an online intake plus three individual online coaching sessions of 45 minutes each.

The individual coaching sessions included in Dutch Sprint Plus must be scheduled and used within six weeks of the course period. Course dates, times and practical details will be communicated before the course begins.

4. Rates and payment

Dutch Sprint costs €349. Dutch Sprint Plus costs €549. These are the total prices for consumers.

No VAT will be charged where the service qualifies for an applicable Dutch VAT exemption. Where VAT is legally due, the applicable VAT will be stated. Business customers may request an invoice.

Payment must be made according to the instructions provided. Unless agreed otherwise in writing, payment is required to confirm your booking.

5. Withdrawal and cancellation by the participant

5.1 Statutory withdrawal right

If you book online as a consumer, you may have a statutory 14-day withdrawal right. Where applicable, the withdrawal period starts on the day the contract is concluded. You may withdraw without giving a reason by sending a clear statement to hello@conversationandco.com or by using the withdrawal facility provided on the website.

5.2 Request to start within the withdrawal period

If you ask for the course to start during the 14-day withdrawal period, you will be asked for your express consent and acknowledgement of the applicable legal consequences. If you withdraw after the service has started, you may be required to pay a proportionate amount for the services already provided, where permitted by law. If the service has been fully performed, the right to withdraw may be lost only where the applicable legal requirements have been met.

5.3 Other cancellations

Once any applicable statutory withdrawal period has expired, cancellations and refunds are subject to these Terms and Conditions and any mandatory rights under applicable law. Nothing in this article limits rights that cannot legally be excluded.

6. Missed lessons and individual coaching

Group lessons: If you miss a group lesson, you cannot attend a replacement lesson or claim a refund for that missed lesson, except where required by law or agreed otherwise by Conversation & Co.

Individual coaching: For Dutch Sprint Plus, an individual coaching session may be rescheduled if you cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment. Rescheduling is subject to availability, and the session must take place within the six-week course period. Late cancellations and no-shows will generally count as a used session, except where required by law or agreed otherwise.

7. Cancellation or changes by Conversation & Co

Conversation & Co may need to reschedule or cancel a course due to circumstances such as illness, technical issues or insufficient enrolment. Participants will be informed as soon as reasonably possible, and a replacement date or other reasonable solution will be offered where appropriate.

If a course is cancelled before it starts and no suitable alternative is agreed, payments received for that course will be refunded. If part of a course cannot be delivered, an appropriate solution or refund for the undelivered part will be provided where required by law. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.

8. Liability

Conversation & Co provides language courses and coaching to support your Dutch learning. No particular learning outcome or level of progress is guaranteed.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have a suitable internet connection and the equipment needed to participate online. Technical problems on your side do not automatically entitle you to a replacement lesson or refund.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law.

9. Intellectual property

Course materials provided by Conversation & Co remain the intellectual property of Conversation & Co or their respective rights holders. They are provided for your personal use only and may not be copied, distributed, published, shared or used commercially without prior permission, except where permitted by law.

10. Privacy and confidentiality

Conversation & Co processes personal data in accordance with its Privacy Policy and applicable data protection law.

Participants are expected to respect the privacy of other group members and to treat personal information shared during lessons as confidential. Lessons will not be recorded without appropriate prior information and a lawful basis for recording.

11. Complaints

If you have a complaint about a course or coaching service, please email hello@conversationandco.com with a description of the issue. Conversation & Co aims to respond within five business days and will make reasonable efforts to find an appropriate solution.

12. Invalidity and amendments

If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.

Conversation & Co may update these terms from time to time. The version applicable to your booking is the version communicated or made available when you book, unless a change is required by law or otherwise lawfully agreed. Changes will not retrospectively remove rights you already have.

13. Applicable law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes will be submitted to the competent court in accordance with applicable law. Mandatory consumer protection rights remain unaffected.
